Brief Description: Modify two nose and inspar ribs and deburr
A pair of HS-905 nose ribs and HS-1004 inspar ribs are modified slightly so they can be angled in the assembly. The plans call for a 10 degree bend off the perpendicular on the nose ribs and a 10 and 12.5 degree bend on either end of the inspar ribs. I tried getting it as close as possible, but the ribs are pretty thin and if it's within a couple of degrees it should be no problem to coax the holes to line up without putting in much prestress in the ribs.
I marked these inboard ribs to make sure they go back in the same locations. I'm not sure how I'm going to keep them marked though. When I prep them for prime those marking will be removed. I'll have to put a Post-It note or something after they're prepped and be careful when priming to keep the note near the part.
I also deburred all of the nose and inspar ribs. It's a bit of a pain on these small parts with lots of stress relief cuts to get in all those nooks and crannies. A bit of 400 grit sandpaper is great for this task.
These ribs are the left and right inboard ribs and are modified to fit at an angle.
