Brief Description: Fit upper skin to starbard centre section
Fitted upper skin on starboard centre section. All rib rivet holes had been previously rilled out; some to 3/32", some to 1/8". The stiffeners had been installed since the original drilling had been done, and as a consequence, the holes in the outer rib did not line up.
It was necessary to shorten the stiffeners at theout rib end and re-fasten. This was done by drilling out the 3/32" rivet attaching the stiffeners toouter rib and rfedrill with clecos in place to assure alignment. Trimmed the endoff stiffeners.
Some of then holes on the inner rib were slightly out of alignment also, but by less than 1/4 of 3/32" diameter. Match drilled these holes to 3/32" then to 1/8".
Drilled out all rib holes to 1/8" and some of the stiffeners to 3/32".
