Welcome to my project webpage. I chose the Zenith STOL CH-701, because it's all metal, easy to build for the first time builder, affordable, and Zenith supports scratch builders. My goal is to build a "poor man's bushplane." I'm building this plane from scratch, not from a kit, to make the project more affordable. I'm still investigating my engine options, but I'm leaning towards using a used 80 HP Rotax 912. Also investigating various auto conversions. Update Aug/09: This project is kind of on hold. I recently bought a Tri-Pacer which is taking up most of my time/attention/money. I still intend to finish this project at some point, but for now it's kind of on the back burner.
