Welcome to my experimental aircraft Web site. That's a picture of my CH-601HD that I built from a kit. I thought I would try my hand at scratch building an XL. There are a lot of things that I like about the XL: Forward hinging canopy, better gross weight, a little faster, and should be better on fuel. I'm also hoping it will fly a bit smoother than the HD. I bought the plans for the tail dragger version. I still haven't made up my mind if I'm going to build it that way or with a nose wheel. I still have time to figure that out.
