Welcome to my experimental aircraft Web site. I started flying many years back and since my first flight in a Cessna 172 in Tallahassee FL, I've been hooked. I got my Private Pilot in a Piper Tomahawk and my Instrument Rating in that same Cessna 172, but ever since that first flight I dreamed of owning my own plane. My brother-in-law showed me a video of a kit build aircraft (RV) and took me to sun-n-fun, where I started to take an interest in experimental aircraft. But the tipping point for me was a trip to Oshkosh in 2012. Also I read an article on a review of the RV-10, which was my dream kit, but way out of my price range and skill level. In the back of that same article it talked about the new RV-12. That seemed just my speed for a first time builder. I even visited the Vans factory and took a ride in the RV-12...I was hooked. After consulting with the Family, wife Cyndi, children Scott, Allison, Stephen and Benjamin, we all agreed and decided to take the plunge. I started out with the Empennage to see if I had the skill and patience needed, plus it was the smallest investment. The rest is, well let's say, we'll see...
The day has finally come, I received my airworthiness certificate and made my first flight on December 4, 2018. The plane flew great and I just can't stop smiling.
