Welcome to our RV-7A website!

Construction on N707SM began in mid-January, 2006. Firewall forward (FWF) is the 2007 Eggenfellner E6/200 with a Quinti electronic CS Hub using Sensinich blades and the BladeRunner controller. Engine monitoring is provided by a Grand Rapids EIS 4000. Avionics are Dual Dynon D100's, Garmin GNC300XL, SL30, GTX327 and GMA340. A Trutrak ADI Pilot II (2-axis) autopilot rounds out the instrumentation while providing a 3rd reference for Attitude for IFR redundancy. Cowling is by Sam James.

UPDATE: In 2014, due to lack of support for the Eggenfellner solution (particularly the gearbox), did a firewall forward replacement of the Eggenfellner with a Barrett IO-360-X, a Hartzell Constant Speed prop, and Robert Paisley's excellent EFII and Bus Manager systems.

(No logs of that engine swap on Kitlog, but must say that Barrett Precision Engines (BPE) provides an outstanding product, with excellent support!). Contact BPE for more information.
