I'm in the dream, planning, fund raising stage of my Pietenpol project. I have purchased the plans. My project has changed a lot in the last year or so. At first I wanted to build a original with the Model A engine. Then I asked myself, do I really want to fly behind a 90 year old engine. After much research I have come all the way from that to a Viking 130. It is actually a Honda Fit engine with the proper conversion for aircraft use. Think of it, start with a big spinner and 3 blade prop and a streamlined cowl then morf into a WWI style airplane. Cool! First I have to finish my 66 VW beetle project. Hopefully I will be ready to start the plane by November.
