Dan Beadle is an ATP with CFI ratings. I have flown a lot of airplanes from taildragger's to medium twins. The RV8 is to be the sports car to get back to the basics of flying. I also have designed engine monitors for JP Instruments for many years. My focus is having an airplane to test new avionics concepts. As such, this aircraft will never be "done".

I went off to Oshkosh, WI, for AirVenture with a specific goal to look at as many RV engine installations as possible to learn how others have done them. After three days of looking at both ugly ducklings and at princesses, I got the message: just do it. The key is safety and finishing.
I am back in the hanger working. I have already had some early successes. I have a detailed task list for completion of the engine compartment. Now, it is just doing the tasks.
